Computer Applications & Clerical Skills Certificate: This program serves as a reinforcement of essential core skills, such as computers, English, and mathematics, which strengthen OIC students' preparation for successful employment or further programs of study.

Intermediate Computer & Office Certificates: Following completion of OIC's Computer Applications & Clerical Skills program, students may continue in advanced computer, office and business-related class work in preparation for such positions as office assistants, receptionists, secretaries, administrative assistants, data entry clerks, bookkeepers, and other office support positions.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA): The certificate program includes job-specific instruction and clinical procedures. 100 hours of training and experience are completed in the clinical classroom at OIC and at a local nursing facility. Also included in the program are 30 hours of Employability Skills Training and job placement assistance. Successful graduates will obtain State of Connecticut certification.

Introduction to Culinary Arts: In this certificate program, students work toward receiving their food handling certification and move on to learn cooking techniques such as sautéing, baking and grilling, developing competencies for employment in the food service industry.

Project Employment: A community reintegration program that offers free support to clients who have been involved with the judicial system. Classroom training focuses on assessment of job and training interests to maximize the efficiency of job search efforts.

Stopping Domestic Violence: Working with men and women who batter, this program uses a Reality-Therapy approach to identify and clarify client needs and to change behaviors. SDV enables clients to confront and evaluate what is - and is not - working for them so that they can meet their needs and take effective control of their behaviors and lives.
