You are invited to attend OIC's Holiday Open House with delicious holiday treats prepared and served by OIC's Culinary Arts training programs and where graduates of OIC's CNA training program will be available to share tips for a low-stress holiday and to check your blood pressure. There will be tours of OIC's building and graduates will be happy to talk about their experiences at OIC. Join us and learn how OIC has been "helping people help themselves" for more than 40 years!

Mark your calendars now for something exciting! Have you ever wondered what was lurking in the OIC attic? What kind of old equipment, furniture, books or other material might be hiding there? This is your opportunity to own a piece of New London history and to help support an organization that has been making a difference in this community for more than 40 years.

Rain or shine, we will have much to offer for sale on Saturday, October 8, 2011, beginning at 8am. Refreshments will also be for sale by OIC's Culinary program.

OIC is pleased to announce our new Math Instructor, Susan Townsley. Susan comes to us from Literacy Volunteers of Eastern CT. She brings new enthusiasm and commitment to OIC and our clients. We are happy to welcome Susan to the OIC family!

OIC is pleased to announce our new Chef Instructor, Kathleen Tilton. Kathy is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde park, NY and comes to OIC following six years with the Compass Group. She has extensive experience in catering, menu planning and teaching/training. She brings new energy and ideas to our Culinary Arts training program and will begin her work at OIC on Monday, July 25, 2011. We are happy to welcome Kathy to the OIC family!
