Career Foundations

In a pre-vocational training program, students are introduced to various learning experiences that will provide the necessary skills to gain employment and adapt to a changing work environment.

This customized program includes:

• Introduction to the Computer
• Basic Keyboarding skills
• Introduction to Computer Applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• English Grammar & Writing, focusing on workplace communication
• Consumer Math, necessary for daily work activities
• Basic Financial Literacy, using the FDIC "Money Smarts" curriculum
• Employability Skills Training, equipping students with the skills needed to secure and maintain employment such as interviewing techniques, resume development, and job search strategies
