Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC) of New London County, Inc. is a private non-profit organization funded through a combination of federal, state, local and private revenue sources, as well as through the generosity of the community we serve.
Over the years we have served more than 60,000 people as they enter/re-enter employment, gain marketable skills, and contribute to a better standard of living for their family and our community. During these recent tough economic times, the need for our programs are greater than ever, with a daily increase in requests for our services.
OIC's career-specific certification training programs include Certified Nursing Assistant, Culinary Arts, Business Office/Computer Skills, Basic Construction/OSHA-10, Childhood Development Associate Certification, and our Second Chance Citizens employment training programs for individuals that have some involvement with the criminal justice system.
OIC also provides supplemental supports and referrals for clothing, food insecurities, transportation, and accessibility to social service programs.
